art for the face

Hillie has been painting faces for as long as she can remember.  Her hobby sprouted into a bit of a job during the summer of 1998 when she served as the Costume Director for Upstate New York's Annandale Troupe, a children's Shakespearean acting program set against the backdrop of a modern day castle, erected by the iconic late Peter Wing.  Ancestry may have chosen this to be one of her pathways, her father's family tradition was steeped in production.

In 2010 Hillie moved to Los Angeles to connect with her father's legacy, so to speak, and after a brief career in Hollywood including Make-up Certification from the Make-up Designory, work in fashion, print, and TV (namely with the then-budding commercial photographer Erik Umphery who has since gone on to shoot the likes of Beyonce, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Taraji P Henson and Colbie Caillat), she decided that her love of painting faces was no match for her dislike of the discouraging philosophies in the modern beauty industry.  She sought to help women feel more beautiful both naturally and through the use of makeup, so she moved to the desert where she worked for luxury establishments pursuing her certification in skincare (Licensed Aesthetician 2011) and began garnering a niche clientele for artful wedding makeup applications.

Hillie is currently booking make-up applications from Fall 2017.  Her kit is comprised primarily of Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, NARS and Trish McEvoy.

Rates for on-site application begin at $100/hr.  Please contact her for more information.
